Bathroom fans

The purpose of this post is to complete the wind mitigation inspection course. I’ve read an article of bathroom fans. If a bathroom fan in an older house is very quite, most likely it is not working properly. I do smoke test to ensure the functionality of the fan even though knowing this exceeds the NACHI standards of practice.

A quiet fan cost a little more then a cheap fan.
Simple test is a piece of toilet paper see how well it sticks and no cost

well I am doing something really wrong, have not once checked a bathroom fan’s operation during a wind mitigation…

hmmm

Me neither Mike, I usually just hope that the bathroom fan can handle some of the wind I mitigate during a visit to that room with the throne.

Does the bath fan need a label/sign stating “Do Not Operate Fan During A Hurricane”?
