Crawl Inspection

The attached file is the corner support of a 1910 home that has had the piers replaced. These piers were tilted, misaligned, cracked and only had one inch of a eight inch beam sitting on it. The crawl space was covered in debris from previous remodels and held water in some areas. All the DWV lines were not properly strapped in place or connected at the floor to toilets or sinks, thus open gaps produced a contaminated crawl condition. Repairs to beams were noted as splices were competed incorrectly. In addition termites had done considerable damage to the structure.
