Here is how to win (you have to know a bit about football to win this one):
Pick a series of 15 letters in a column (it will form a goofy word). The closer your word is to the actual word formed from the data from the Super Bowl wins. Whoever forms a word that is closest (most letters correct) to the actual word wins.
Letters:
- The first letter of the name of the winning team (P or G).
- The first letter of the last name of the person to kick (successfully) the first field goal (A-Z).
- The first letter of the name of the team that wins the opening coin toss (P or G).
- The first letter of the name of the team winning at the end of the first quarter (P or G).
- The first letter of the name of the team winning at the end of the half (P or G).
- The first letter of the name of the team winning at the end of the 3rd quarter (P or G).
- The first letter of the last name of the first player to throw a touchdown (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the first player to score a touchdown, must be the player who ends up in the endzone, not a quarterback throwing a pass (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the player who scores the most touchdowns, must be the player who ends up in the endzone, not a quarterback throwing a pass (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the player who makes the most receptions (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the player who throws the last touchdown pass (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the player who suffers the most penalties (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the running back with the most yardage (A-Z).
- The first letter of the last name of the player with the longest punt or kickoff return (A-Z)
- The first letter of the last name of the coach who throws the first challenge (likely B or C).
The goofy word you form is to be 15 letters long starting with letter 1 and ending with letter 15. Words that are less or more than 15 letters long will be disqualified. If the correct letter doesn’t exist (ex: no challenge is made for letter 15), all guesses for that letter are deemed to be correct. Ties in accuracy (same number of letters guessed correctly) will be decided by earliest to post or edit.
You can place your guess (1 per member) right up until the kick off of the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb 3, 2008 and edit your post right up until kick off, but again, there is a slight advantage to posting first in terms of freak tie breaking.
Best of luck.
