I always have my eyes wide open when going into a 200 year old “restored” home. I am always intrigued by the unique old construction methods and some of the “upgrading” I find. Couldn’t help but smile when I found these two items on the basement work bench. I wonder if I can market them as a “pre-inspection” home owners repair kit. By the way…the house was in pretty good shape other than the rear foundation of the converted barn…loose stacked stone foundation that was shifting even as I tried to inspect it.
Yep, old NE home repair. You have old homes and more imaginative ways they’ve tried to fix them over the years. Although JB Weld is good stuff.
A couple weeks back I saw several boxes of mighty putty.
Still keep the old J-B Weld near by, you never know !
