You might want to see how your guys stack up to each other. One of our new inspectors had his wife call late last summer to see what other inspectors were charging here in KC. 20 yr old house; 2,000sf, basement.
Of note … In the upper 25% / 5 were InterNACHI / 2 were ASHI / 2 were PE’s
Of the lowest 25% … 15 were ASHI / 3 were InterNACHI / the others belonged to nothing

This also shows, when ASHI is the cheapest, they get the largest amount of business. Their reports are non-alarmist, which the REA’s want. This is also why licensing is promoted by this “group” so non-alarmist reports can be written legally, due to poor SOP’s that this “group” implements. Sad that the NAR does not step in. Most REA’s here simply do not provide the best services to their home buyers.
I bet many of these low-cost HI’s do not have insurance of any type. They are just rollin’ the dice.
