NACHI WELCOMES MASSACHUSETTS OILHEAT COUNCIL AS NEW MEMBER

The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors(NACHI) is pleased to announce that the Massachusetts Oilheat Council (MOC) has joined the organization.

Established in 1954, MOC is abusiness association for heating oil and petroleum products companies,representing more than 350 companies across the state. Collectively, MOCmembers store, sell and deliver nearly 70 percent of the heating oil used inhomes, schools, hospitals and businesses statewide. MOC also represents heatingequipment manufacturers and suppliers and other businesses that providevaluable goods and services to the industry.

Among its many goals, MOC includespromoting and protecting the business interests of its members throughmarketing and public relations programs promoting Oilheat; implementingeffective legislative, regulatory and government affairs programs andactivities; and designing and coordinating regular industry educationalactivities. MOC is an official trade organization for NORA, National OilheatResearch Alliance.

An important aspect of MOC’s goal to educate the public on the benefits of Oilheatis the association’s Oilheat-Realty Partnership Program. This program informsreal estate professionals and home inspectors, through helpful literature andspecial events, on the “selling points” of heating oil and the valuableservices that Oilheat dealers provide.
