It is important that as many members as possible attend the Sept 24th ASTM meeting to oppose moving forward with the creation of a committee to begin the formation of a national standard of practice for home inspectors.
You must RSVP. See the following thread:

NAHI is offering their members a bribe of 6 CEU’s to help stack the deck in their favor.

Also see the position statement where they try to make a silk purse out of this pigs ear.
Every warm body that can possibly attend this meeting to oppose this is important.

I’ll be there with my friends from A.I.I., ASHI, CREIA and other associations who all have come out officially opposed.

I suppose it would be too hard to just copy them state by state. It wouldn’t take someone too long since they have so few members. I’m just not sure what the point is.

Just when you thought that them permitting their members to sell repair services thus destroying our profession’s long standing impartiality was bad enough and permitting members to bribe REALTORs through preferred vendor schemes that lead directly to the financial and physical harm (even death) of consumers was bad enough and holding an almost secret meeting with ASTM to rewrite our SOP was bad enough then stacking the deck in their favor at the vote by holding it at their convention was bad enough then accusing NACHI of using their name in our metatags while all along they were using other association’s names in their metatags was bad enough and moving their convention next to ours three days before to coatail us was bad enough and suing us out of venue was bad enough and kicking reputable industry vendors out of their convention for being NACHI-friendly was bad enough and having their PA chapter tell lies about our members was bad enough and going back to court thus breaking their own settlement agreement even though we held up our end of it was bad enough and taking almost all of their member’s dues and diverting it to a for-profit company secretly owned by their own Executive Director was bad enough and having this same Executive Director admit under oath that she conspired (a criminal act and violation of RICO) to destroy NACHI member’s businesses was bad enough and not returning any of their member’s hard earned dues that they took in return for absolutely no member benefits was bad enough… the scumbag association just got worse… Now they bribe their own members by offering them 6 hours of UNDESERVED, UNEARNED continuing education in return for their vote to destroy our profession.
SCUMBAGS!.. if the shoe fits, wear it.
How can we get a list of all their members so we can post it for all to see?
I would love to quote you in other places that are discussing this.
