No offense, but a Tithe Goes to your “storehouse” The place where your are fed spiritually. Anything else is an offering. Sorry for the drift.
I believe Wendy has mentioned this in one of her post as well.
Malachi 3:10 Bring you all of the tithe into the storehouse that there may be meat in mine house. AND PROVE ME NOW HEREWITH,(says the Lord ) if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

I have “successfully” tithed to individuals, couples, groups, organizations and even churches, as I see the Christ within as applicable.
But, semantics, schlemantics . . .

If they are your storehouse ( where you get strength, healing, blessing, salvation, etc) then go for it.
I tithe to the storehouse(local church) and give offerings to needy people or organizations.
