I find this substance in my yard occasionally. The only critters on the property are squirrels, opossums, rabbits, and skunks. I don’t think it’s any of them. It has the consistency of cottage cheese, and no discernable odor. I shot a video and here’s a picture

I think it looks like a slime mold, spread by beetles.
Look up dog vomit slime mold, it might be a match.

The mulch is a year old. And I’ve found it on the grass before.
