Wind Mit

Curios to know why an inspector what insist that a screen enclosure on the back of a home would disqualify a home owner from receiving a Wind Mitigation credit (FBC). Total roof structure is 481 with a patio that is 105. That is way less than 10%. It’s a typical screened patio for FL., with the metal/membrane roof. This would have no bearing on the main structure which is what reflected on a Wind Mit. I would understand if the patio roof is greater than 10%.

Any discussion would be appreciated.

Thanks.
