Hows this for new construction, stringer cut!!
At least it will not kill them like all those nailed in ledger boards out there.
Rookie carpenter that likes to cut corners.:mrgreen: To be honest, it is not that big of a deal that would warrant a redo of the stairs. Happens a lot, but most hide that on the inside of the stringer.
Just looked at it again. Did you notice the stringer was split? That is not good…
Sloppy, but not a big deal. It’s usually on the inside where you won’t notice it.
The bottom stringer is actually a 2-nd section of wood, look close, they cut the last stringer to fit the run
Looks like the last step split at the grain.
