When not using a weep screed, the flashing should have a casing bead. Three questions:

1 deficient recent inspection attached
2 h2o can become entrapped, wick, and cause the breakdown of supporting sheathing and structural members
3 if it is not perforated and there is no bond break between the stucco & metallic flashing where will the moisture go
also do you know for sure that non-approved termination metallic flashing has a leg that is behind the required wrb
don’t hang your a s s out if you don’t know & make everyone clearly aware of what you do know

We could not confirm the proper installation of a rain screen at the lower terminations of the stucco walls where it transitions to another wall cladding. The stucco also appeared to be missing a casing bead which supports the stucco off the transition flashing. Stucco walls are porous; if water were to penetrate behind the wall, there should be a path to exit. This installation may violate commonly accepted construction practices. The potential consequences of improper stucco installation could be trapped moisture and long-term decay, cracking, etc. which may not be revealed until years in the future. We suggest that you obtain an independent evaluation of the installation methods by a certified stucco specialist (AWCI or EDI certified).
