A basement built-in fireplace has half the box and the flue intruding into the end of a hallway on the other side of the wall. How hot is this going to get?
Is it masonry, zero-clearance, free-standing? A little more information would be helpful.
As would a picture.
It’s a metal zero clearance with drywall tight around it.
The box is zero clearance. Which is not really zero…The flue is 2 inches to combustible. Unless otherwise noted by the manufacturer.
