I found this on one of my recent inspections. The item was not currently being used but was removed. Is there a reason for the glass bottle. The house was a 1920s Victorian.

It’s certainly not 1920’s vintage, and the conductors don’t really appear to even be building wire. They look like type MTW. Could have been a part of somebody’s old train layout or something along those lines. Hard to say.
I’m pretty sure that’s a hermetic jar from Funk & Wagnall’s back porch. I may be wrong but I don’t think so.
