1-st time I have come across this, electric meter located inside a wall (inside wall) with a cover. it was never moved when the addition was built.
what are the proper clearances for electric meter? it needs to be moved.
The clearance is set by the power company.
The meter is supposed to have a clear 36 inches of clear work space in front of it for servicing. I would note the lack of proper clearance and defer to the utility company for further evaluation.
