Prime example for having a voltage sniffer in the attic or crawl

I know that you mentioned a proximity type voltage tester but why would need to get any closer than you did for the photo? Aren’t the problems obvious from afar?

Just throw some foil backed insulation over it. No problem.

The point I was trying to make was what if you came into the attic from the other direction.
I always check pipes, ductwork, or anything metal when in a crawl or attic

Good point. From the perspective of the photo my initial reaction would be to stay away from that mess. :slight_smile:
