Drip leg inside cabinet

Comments?

Thanx in advance.

The drip leg has been improperly installed as there must be a change in direction. I’m not sure it could be located anywhere else outside of the cabinets due to the tight fit of the unit, but it is required to be accessible.

Jeff what do you mean by “there must be a change in direction”?

Do you guys recommend that they be installed before the shut off valve?

After the shutoff valve, so it can be serviced.

Proper

Improper (sediment will blow by trap)

Yeah thats what I meant

Joe got it. Without the change in direction, the trap is nullified and debris/moisture will pass through to the control valve.

Gotcha. I will be paying more attention to this in the future.

Same. I know there has been a few that I didn’t call out.
