Drywall separating the enclosure from the Attic

Steel ducting is touching wood on the side…is this acceptable?

What type of ducting are you referencing supply air, return air, flu exhaust

Rectangular supply air is insulated to the inside and is exceptble to touch wood

Round supply air should have insulation on the exterior and is exceptable to touch wood

Return air is exceptable both rectangular and round to touch wood

Metal flu ducting is not allowed to touch wood;-)

It’s for the flue…it’s steel type B…
