Furnace in unfinished basement, should there be a pipe vented to the outside of the home from this fitting? Running to next appt, hope someone knows or can look it up, if not, I’ll get to it tonight. Thanks.

To answer your question typically yes there should be combustion air taken from the exterior but some AHJ’s allow combustion air to be taken from the interior if the location of the furnace space is large enough
