Gas Pack Exhaust

Is there a better way to route the exhaust gases on a gas pack? The way this is done is common around here and can burn someone. I mention it in my report, but I was wondering if there is a safer way that I could list as a repair item. Thanks in advance.

That is the way the MFG designed them to operate Some have stickers or labels that Read HOT Surfaces. Not to be quaint but most folks including children will only touch a hot surface ONCE.:frowning:

At least it is vented up. Some vent them straight out the side next to the combustion air intake.

Here is my answer for re-designing the way the MFG construct things.
