Shouldn’t this furnace be vented to the outside. Two PVC pipes were present on the outside of the home, but only one coming to the side of the furnace. It appeared that the basement had been recently finished.

Looks like it may be a cat 4 .
That would then be the air intake.
Give us the model and serial number.
