R-22 in 2013 system

I was under the impression that R-22 was no longer used in newer AC systems. Found this on a newer 2013 condensing unit.

who was the manufacture ?

Some off brand “Evcon”. The serial number is consistent with a York product. Does the brand matter when it comes to refrigerant used?

They are making them again, Im not sure if they ever stopped. .

In the last training provided it was stated they will be allowed to keep the current stock and they will not be discontinued but anything that comes out after will not be allowed use of R22.
