Default Why is dryer venting different in CA?

Transition duct is limited to six foot, and other oddities.Dryer duct is limited to 14 feet.

Your dryer vent is not much different than where I am. I think Okla allows 25 feet for distance but everything else is about the same as CA. What I see most is screws at the joints. We have a lot of (allowed) vertical vents which makes no sense to me as they are always stopped up and become fire hazards.
