Septic Location

Looking to buy the flushable tracer, and a receiver. Anybody got a favorite locator? I’m thinking the 512 Hz is good enough, I’m mostly dealing with concrete and poly tanks.

Hi Marcy, we use Prototek FTP-8 which is 512 MHZ.

We chose the 512 MHZ because it’s compatible with most sewer cameras that have a sonde in the camera head. We use a rigid sea snake which has become an invaluable tool for use.

How well does it work with deep lines? The advertised range is 8 feet max in cast iron
