News today revealed two more children electrocuted from problem pool lights. My questions with the pool lights are: Is a pool light dangerous when power supply is from a low voltage transformer??
If so , what can we as inspectors look for that might identify a problem?
Water in the light enclosure and other equipment not bonded correctly.

My research revealed some interesting items from the CPSC.
gfci’s at any underwater circuit over 15 volts.
gfci’s on all elect. equip. used w/ pools, spas, and hot tubs including 240 volt heaters.
gfci’s on any outlet (inside or outside) within 20 ft. of pools edge.
