Came across this today, the box has a switch with three position and a light, on off test. the test position lights the light and sounds a mild buzzer. there are three wires that plug into an outlet adjacent, the rest of the wires are direct buried and head in the direction of the drain field or the septic
home is on well and septic system, no lift station or pump station noted.
was it a 3 chamber tank…looks like aeration control

Lift pump alarm for a septic / sewer systems have those on them around here. That looks like an older one. Most of the newer ones I run across have red light module on top or the face cover.
It looks like a septic system alarm. It warns you when wastes are not being pumped out of the drain field.
