Dryer vent to garage?

I would write this up as a firewall problem. The dryer vent runs through the firewall separating the house and attached garage.

Do you concur?

Comments appreciated

Absolutely. Not to mention it will be messy.

Thanks Joe -

Messy yes, and the moisture air would not be good either.

Darin how old is the house? I run into this a lot in my area, they are normally 30+ years old

House built in 1966.

It doesn’t matter how old it is, dryer vents must terminate to the exterior of the structure - including the garage.

When done properly, this will be continued with a (min 26 gauge) steel vent to the exterior. At that point, it will no longer be a firewall breach.

Thanks Jeff.
