Default Pipe length maximum

Is there a maximum pipe length between the base of a bathroom sink to the p-trap? I have found one with a 21" length. Looks odd to me. Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Pipe length maximum

The vertical distance between the fixture and the trap should be less than 24 inches. This helps prevent stuff from building enough force to blow out the trap's water seal.
