They replaced the standard draft hood with a part I’ve never seen before. Anyone ever seen this? I say it’s not proper. It’s sealed tight to the top of the water heater.
I agree… needs draft hood. Ive only seen that type on mobile home water heaters.
Never ends a they design equipment for best operation and along comes a person who seems to feel they know more and changes things .
Some times dangerous to life .

I know what to do!!! Lets just take the draft out of the equation so we can get the nasty deadly gas out quick…Unbelievable.
At least they left the proper draft hood behind. Maybe they did not have snips
