Thanks for the info Roy

BTW: How much was your pump? And is yours instaled as the primary or back-up only pump.

Here is a photo of a Municipal Water powered sump eductor…

About $70:00 ( Home Depot)and yes I just use it as a back up I have no idea what the difference in cost is water to electric.
I was doing some work In the Basement this week and we have had rain like wow and some how I had shut the breaker of .
The water powered saved my goof big time .
Good Picture Joe Thanks .

Looks like the float is water logged in that one.

This also appears to be a back-up.

Are their any municiplaties that do not allow these units to be installed as the primary pump. Not that you would want to for operating cost reasons but people do silly stuff sometimes.

I must have missed them there. I’ll look for them next time I in. Thanks Roy.

Any concerns about a cross connection, potable water to sump water?#-o

No but I still do have a back flow preventer in line .
Much more reliable the a battery back up and no maintenance. and considerable less cost.
I would recommend one in a heart beat if you have town water.
I have a pressure regulator reducing the water pressure to 40 lbs and it still does a great job
