Website dedicated to understanding cement and concrete

I just discovered this… looks pretty good!

The email they sent me in part:

“It is aimed at non-chemists and takes you painlessly to an intermediate level of cement materials science and chemistry - probably about as far as most people in the industry need to go. Of course, if you want to take it further that is up to you and the book makes suggestions for further reading.”

There is more information on the Understanding Cement book/ebook here:

http://www.understanding-cement.com/understanding-cement-book-bonus.html

We have upcoming articles on the website on varying aspects of cement production and concrete chemistry, including variability of aluminate and ferrite phases in Portland cement clinker, the effects of fine limestone additions to cement and on cement analysis. We’ll keep you updated on these, and others, via the Newsletter."

A better understanding of concrete, including the part cement plays, can help inspectors to develop better judgement in reporting on the seriousness of concrete problems they see; basically, are problems likely to continue and worsen or are the stable?

Good information thanks Kenton.

Just updated that post, Steve.
