Become a California Certified Home Inspector Class in Feb 2017

**WHEN:** February 6-10, 2017 (9 AM - 5 PM each day)

WHERE: InterNACHI School and Inspection House of Horrors in Boulder, Colorado
WHY: At the end of this 5-day class, you will be a California Certified Home Inspector.

So Ben, is this a new certification you are issuing in addition to CPI or just saying being a CPI meets the definition according to CA B&P code? Just curious.

Unfortunately CA has never required any form of training for a home inspector. By their own definition a home inspector is ANYONE who does a home inspection. Which in itself is scary. I have my CPI & CMI and use it as much as possible.

BTW Calif rolls out their 2016 Codes on Jan 1, 2017. Love that Triennial Cycle.

Apparently a California Certified Home Inspector is an Internachi only certification as Ca has no certification for an inspector. Unfortunately they have nothing thus some very unqualified individuals are ripping off prospective home buyers and hurting good home inspectors

So what is the new title all about? Is this something beyond being a Certified Master Inspector and 15 years of experience as a home & commercial inspector?
