Upon inspection of the electrical panel at an older home, several irregularities were noted. This included a fuse panel, where multiple wiring problems were also noted. With the issues I observed I will be recommending the buyer consult a qualified electrician. After this part of the inspection the buyer’s agent slipped away on the phone for several minutes. Sometime later as I was preparing to inspect the crawl space the buyer’s agent cornered me, saying “I REALLY need to close this deal”. “Whatever you may see in the electrical system, you know…it’s been okay for all these years with people living here…” “If I can make sure this client doesn’t have to spend money on this electrical system, I have two more houses I’ll see that your company gets to inspect.”
