HPS will provide two products, one forsellers and one for buyers, which offer a comprehensive, third-party homeinspection and transferrable warranty on the major blind spots that may ariseduring an inspection.
Both aim to protect consumers by providingthem with up to $20,000 worth of warranty coveragefor defects on the blind spots of a home’s major features, like its roof, foundation, heating, and cooling system.
“Whether you’re thinking of buying orselling, a home transaction can be an extremely stressful process,” said Jackie Chetcuti, head of Home Protection Solutions.“Buyers often fear that they may have to incur significant expenses soon
after acquiring a home, and sellers may behesitant to get an inspection at the risk of significant repair costs prior tolisting their property.”
“These products seek to reduce thisanxiety by assessing over 400 features around the house through an independenthome inspection, and provide warranty coverage on a property’s larger,
stress-inducing blind spots that are oftenexpensive to fix,” added Chetcuti.
Sellers can invest in an 18-monthtransferrable warranty and home inspection that can potentially reduce days onmarket and increase their property’s overall selling price by removing the needfor
a buyer’s home inspection and reducingrisks related to home quality.
For buyers, their warranty plan offers acomprehensive, home inspection and 21-month $20,000warranty, which goes into effect after the home inspection is complete. Thisproduct helps reduce buyer anxiety,

From a established Inspector … Interesting Roy

Wonder what liability the inspector takes on?
What’s not covered is interesting (not sure what iscovered) and didn’t see what the deductible is.

We sold these in the 90’s…just a money maker forthe insurance co. and headaches for the inspectors for those who think they canmake a claim but can’t due to policy wording.

Not much different that all the other useless warranty widgets.

More exclusions than inclusions, I suspect
Cheers
