Statistics needed for the Licensing process

One of the main things we’ve found so far is the lack of statistics surrounding the Home Inspection profession in Ontario. In march we published a survey requesting information. We sent this survey out to all InterNACHI Ontario Inspectors and had a 26% response rate.

We have re-opened the survey, and made it open to those who were not on the original list.

This survey is solely for statistical analysis and any private information collected WILL NOT be given, sold or otherwise transferred for whatever reason.

It will however give us some solid statistics to take to the Government.

If you’ve already taken the survey, there’s no need to do it again as we have kept your original responses.

All we ask is that the survey is taken by Ontario, Canada Home Inspectors, and the answers are honest and accurate.

We are asking part-time, full time and retired inspectors to fill on the survey as this will also help with the statistics regarding profession turnover.

The Alberta government receives relatively few complaints from consumers about home inspectors. **In the last four years, Service Alberta has received 18 complaints about home inspection businesses. **

However, even if the number of complaints is low, the cost to the homeowner could reach hundreds of thousands of dollars in those cases where an inspector is negligent.

Home Inspection complaints not to be found anywhere at this site.
