Is proud to PRESENT

DECK FRAMING/CONSTRUCTION COURSE
PRESENTED BY: RYAN SCHAEFER, TERRITORY MANAGER FOR SIMPSON STRONG-TIE

This is a new course that was recently approved for 3 CEU’s by the State of Illinois. I had the opportunity to meet a company rep. at the conference in Canada and we discussed the need for a deck course for Home Inspectors. In subsequent conversations, we were able to work out the details and the company developed this course specifically for Home Inspectors. This will be the first time the course has been presented and the Simpson Strong-Tie folks are generously donating a very nice hand-out for the Inspectors that take the course. Simpson Strong-Tie was involved in developing current building guidelines for decks in the Chicago area and considered to be one of the leading experts in this field.

A few of the things the course covers are:
ü Deck construction and how to inspect and evaluate a deck for proper connection details
ü Understanding misapplications of various methods used to construct a wood deck
ü Common corrosion issues

This course is approved by the State of Illinois for 3 CEU’s and is being offered on March 27, 2008 at Pheasant Run Resort from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ***Visit us at: ***www.pheasantrun.com](http://www.pheasantrun.com/)

The fee will be $50.00 for InterNACHI members and
non-member fee is $75.00.

Looking great

I would highly recommend Gerry’s commercial inspection course for anyone interested in knowing the advantages which are available to anyone interested in doubling or tripling your income verses just doing home inspections.

Gerry is very knowledgeable in the commercial inspection business, and could show you how to get the jobs, how to perform the inspections based on the clients expectations, and everything else involved in the business.

Personally I find commercial inspections much easier than home inspections, you’re dealing with intelligent people who know what they are doing, and what they want, both the clients and the Realtors involved are a different breed of people compared to the residential buyer.

Every inspection is different, depending on what exactly your client wants done, and to what level or degree they want to pay for.

Most want the basics inspected, but a few want full blown investigations of every item on the property.

A great business, and once your established, the referrals and past clients keep the phone ringing without any type of marketing involved.

So if you want to learn how to make great money and be involved in multi-million dollar real estate transactions…take Gerry’s course…!!!

Oops…I just looked at the prices for the course…well you will make on average three to four times the cost of the course for a very small office building…

The Pheasant Run Inn is a nice place too. Signing up tomorrow.

Thanks the more the merry. More coming.
