5,000 kVA oil filled transformer with no oil supplying power to an induction welder at a 900,000 sqft drill pipe manufacturing plant. They shut the plant down for a period the following day to replace it.

I’m assuming that’s long-term freeze damage to mortar coping as the result of EPDM failure.
I’m kinda curious through, the deterioration is pretty uniform but I would expect it to be concentrated in areas where the EPDM failed first, unless over a long enough time period it all reaches the same state.
Also, it seems to be worse on the inside. Could heat and moisture from inside the structure rising along the underside of the membrane have contributed to mortar deterioration?
