Please can someone give me guidance and suggestions on about how much should I quote to inspect a 4 unit building with a legal basement unit also. Should I charge per unit or perhaps according to anticipated time, etc? What would you charge?

This will be the new norm since many people did not save a mil or so for retirement and will end up living in these 900-1200sf units.

Depends on age and how busy you are, expect delays due to occupants, keys etc. Total time should be 8-12 hours including report for a good inspection.
