House fire and soil testing

Do you have any literature on soil inspection after a house fire you could send us.
We are thinking of purchasing land and we know that a house burned to the ground on the property.
Thanks

What issues do you have? If I was going to build on the same site I would want to know if the original foundation was removed. The last thing you want is to start excavation on your new home and find the old foundation was filled in with debris and covered over with soil. Typically the soil around the site will contain glass fragments along with nails and other objects too small for heavy equipment to clean up. As far as the soil is concerned only the top few inches would typically be affected by the heat generated in the fire.
