Hurricane Michael Dryer Issue

We live in Panama City, Florida and our house made it through Hurricane Michael. The force of the wind blew rainwater through window and door sills, and apparently up the external dryer vent into our dryer. It’s a short, unlinked house, and we had left dry towels in the drum, so the inside of the dryer is not wet, and after a week and a half of sitting while we were evacuated, the towels are barely damp. Is it safe to use the dryer? All our electrical outlets and fixtures are working. Thanks, Sandy Ciccarelli

Hi Sandy glad to hear you are SAFE!
I personally would not operate the unit & have it checked out by a qualified appliance pro.
The water may have found it’s way from the drum to wiring and/or contacts.
