Default Wanting to start Inspector career in Texas

I am looking to start my real estate inspector career in East Texas and I am looking for some advice/help. From what I can tell the best method would be to register as an apprentice and work under a licensed inspector. I have reached out to several local inspectors and I am coming up empty. Any advice for someone looking to get started in this field.

Surprised you haven't found one hiring. You may need to get licensed first.
