It helped to have the sub-floor torn off for the inspector to check the joists. Most of these units are sealed, and, of course, access in most cases is limited.

I was told years ago that manufactured homes was required to use #1 lumber. Looks like that has changed. Back when I was general contractor, we tore down a few mobile homes. They all had #1 grade lumber in them.

They must not have applied that number 1 rule to the trim in a manufactured home. It seems to be the main thing that pops off all over the house with in the first year.
