My FLIR ONE just arrived in the mail today.

Took some videos already. Visit https://plus.google.com/+BenGromicko/videos

Cool.

The link just goes to a google plus page how do you watch the video? I had this happen. With a few of the seminars too.
Thanks

Sweet got it… Thanks!

Looks neat.

The operating temp is 32-95.
Seems like a toy.

So Ben, do you have a review/critique for the camera?

Contemplated ordering one, but wanted an honest review first. I have read bad things about it. Can you adjust emissivity? I know it won’t replace my camera, but might be handy for initial indicators to investigate further with the better camera and other tools. Please write a review.
Thanks.

Here are some specs:

  • Scene range temperature: 32 °F to 212 °F (O °C to 100 °C)
  • Operating temp: 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C)
  • Weight: 3.9oz, 110grams
  • Dimensions: L 5.5 inches (140 mm) x W 2.4 inches (61 mm) x H .85 inches (22 mm)
  • Battery capacity: 1400 mA/h (maximum thermal imager battery life is approximately two hours continuous use. FLIR ONE does not consume power from the iPhone battery, nor does it charge the iPhone battery)
  • Visible camera: VGA (used for FLIR® MSX® blending)
  • Sensitivity: ability to detect temperature differences as small as 0.18 °F (0.1°C)

So far. I like it a lot more than my FLIR Bcam SD. And, at $349, the price is right. I’ve been using it and testing it around the house and office. It’s able to do what I need it to do:

  • show me anomalies,
  • provide additional value to my clients,
  • impress my clients and their real estate agents,
  • be easy to use, and
  • distinguish myself from my competition.

It records video as well as images.

I’m putting together some training videos with it right now.

Some cool videos about FLIR One at http://www.flir.com/flirone/gallery.cfm.

I like the haunted house video.

Awesome, thanks Ben

I made a short video while using the FLIR ONE infrared camera.

But, it only works with the current iPhone. When the new iPhone comes out next month, the Flir won’t work with it. That’s probably why they don’t have an android camera. There are too many different android phones, and they are constantly changing. Flir should just produce a stand alone inexpensive camera. I think it would be a bigger market.

I like the phrase Ben speaks into his phone for the subject line of his email.

HIP now allows video PDF reports…
Just released.LOL

Ben forget HG and loyalty by “Coming to the GREEN SIDE”

We now have i pad,i phone, video and PDF video which HG does not have any of.
Post your IR video on HIP . no problem ] :):)

I don’t understand what you mean.

InspectorOutlet has many vendor partners Software – Inspector Outlet. I push inspectors to all of them equally. Although, I’ve used InspectVue for 10 years.

You said you used and preferred HG in Chicago last month.

HIP now has PDF video insertion plus unlike HG actually works with Apple devices on mobile…

I prefer all software that has the ability to insert video. I prefer that. Now HIP. Nice to hear. Maybe another Software Throwdown is due.

This FLIR ONE infrared camera takes images and video. Google Workspace Updates: New community features for Google Chat and an update on Currents

Every home inspector should be taking hundreds of digital images, video of inspection, and now Infrared Certified® images and Infrared Certified® video. http://www.nachi.org/ir.htm
