Apprentice/Helper for Home Inspector
This is an entry level position to learn about and train to be a Home Inspector for the state of Illinois and Chicagoland.
Established Inspection Company currently seeking to add to our team and create a strong highly trained inspection force. We cover the Chicagoland Metro Area.
Position with flexible hours. You will be working directly with the public, home buyers, realtors, etc. We provide fair compensation and steady work. We will train you to meet our company standards to be out in the field as an inspector working for our company.
Having a background in Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, Trade Work, or a Handyman would be an asset. Extreme desire to learn and expand to full licensed inspector for Illinois. InterNACHI student membership.
Applicant must meet the following requirements: Have a willingness to learn. Have a vehicle. Some computer skills. Customer relation skills. Meet our physical requirements.
Physical Requirements: Perform frequent, extensive, and prolonged walking over rough and uneven surfaces. Getting in and out of vehicles multiple times throughout the entire work day. May require regular and prolonged bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling while working in confined spaces. Tasks include operating handheld computers and regular computer equipment. Tasks requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Tasks require operation of hand tools which involve fine motor skills, coordination, and strength. Requires color, sound, depth of field, and visual perception. Must be able to communicate effectively and orally.
Work Environment: Will be varied and you will be required to work in all weather conditions.
