We are a locally owned and operated home inspection company seeking to add another professional home inspector to our team. No direct experience is required but candidate must have experience in a related field such as construction, appraisals, insurance adjusting or home building. Experience related to home inspections, termite inspections, radon testing, mold inspections, stucco inspections, infrared technology or any other inspection service is welcomed.
Considered an independent contractor, position requires a smartphone, digital camera, computer and internet access. Contractor will also need a truck or a vehicle that can hold a collapsible ladder. The vehicle must be in good presentable condition. Contractor will need a good understanding of all areas of metro Atlanta. A GPS is recommended for navigational purposes. All vehicle maintenance and fuel fees are paid by contractor. Contractor must possess basic computer skills and be required to take a written exam regarding home inspections once trained. If not certified, contractor may also be required to complete a home inspection training course at contractor’s own expense.
We are expecting this position to perform around 5-10 home inspections per week (after training is complete). Compensation is paid according to a percentage of the total inspection fee. Normally, compensation for the inspector ranges from $125-$225 per inspection. As an independent contractor, position will be responsible for paying their own taxes. Saturday inspections are to be expected. Our service area is large and contractor may be asked to drive long distances for some inspections when the need arises. However, our staff works hard to keep our inspectors’ routes reasonable. Company supplies specialized equipment.
Background check and driving record are required. Position to be filled immediately.
