I did a 4 point for a guy that claimed that him and his dad were real estate developers, I think he meant flipper, anyway I did the 4 point and just got an interesting email request from him, I still find it hard to not fall out of my chair when I read this.
Dear Bruce,
I am writing you in regards to the 4 point inspection that you did last month for the above property. I am in a staunch predicament in relation to your comments about the flashing on the house. Specifically regarding the comment: Flashing Damage noticed?: Yes.
Am I presumptive to say that given the fact that “no” flashing exists presently at the carport to house connection and thus cannot be “damaged”, could you not then change the way you filled out the information? I am writing you in hopes that we can come to an accommodation given that I have invested so much money already into this property and the corresponding insurance /set backs. I would be willing to pay the re-inspection fee if you so desire.
I can’t afford to have plumbers relocate plumbing so the roofers can have access to install a section of flashing. It’s a sum near 2 thousand dollars, and it’s not presently leaking. Please let me know as soon as you can. I thank you.
What was I thinking:D Some people just don’t get it. Needless to say the request was declined.
