double wrap

So many variables! So on a frame house, the straps are (or should be) fastened to the plate, they come up and over the truss and fastened again to the top plate on the opposite side in a continuous strap. Is there the three nail requirement on both sides of the strap since it is one piece?

Might not answer your question, but thought it was pretty interesting to just watch this.

To classify for a single wrap, I would give it to them if they have three nails total. For that style the nails in the top plate/stud would be more important.

Thanks John, At least two nails each side, some had three one side two on the other. but cant see the straps as they attach to the top plate of course, they are covered by the interior wall. Nice job though the top plate was double strapped between the trusses.
