Licensing Solves Nothing ~ James Bushart

Funny thing is the morons still will not admit they were foolish as hell to let it happen. I guess the'll go down with the ship instead of admitting they were wrong.

I'll never get why folks cannot say I was wrong. I do it all the time
It only hurts for a moment then it is kind of liberating.

OK Mike, you were wrong.

Doesn't hurt, not liberating and I have no clue why you wanted me to post it.

Mike, you posted and I quote, "I'll never get why folks cannot say that I was wrong." So I did.
I actually believe that you are right. The more that states get involved in regulating things the more they mess them up.

Good catch but, sources have it the most effective way to communicate with a legislator is to clearly phrase your communication on an envelope filled with pictures of dead presidents... Protocol, syntax, Benjamins.

I do get a lot of calls from price shoppers looking for those kind of prices but I'm really not interested in getting their business if all they care about is hiring the guy with the lowest price.

The new folks still continue to lowball one another in hopes of garnering more work. They still haven't figured out that low-balling their competition makes them look like dollar store inspectors. In a tech-savvy market like ours, you don't want to look like a dollar store inspector if you can help it because slogging along doing low-dollar inspections won't earn you enough to stay in business long enough to get out of the red while it leaves you more exposed to liability than everyone else.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times myself or other experienced guys try to explain to the new guys that they must charge enough to pay their bills and feed their families if they hope to stay in business, most just keep right on trying to lowball one another while we old timers just shake our heads, do fewer inspections for more money and stay as busy as we want to be.

That is absolutely correct and I have yet to figure out, why many do not understand it.

I won't have much time to comment as I am booked two weeks out, but Russell, if you could e mail me, I would be glad to help out any way I can.

I apologize and not trying to keep it in the dark, just trying to keep it effective and positive. Sorry that never happens here. You are welcome to do as you like with whomever you want.

I just walked in from a short vacation and will hopefully be calling John, Preston, jay and Steve this afternoon.

I am not saying what any person should do and they should do as they see fit and I am willing to listen to all sides of the story.

As far as I am concerned Steve should lead this. He always seems to know more and has the inside track. So I will follow his lead. If your reading this thread and want to be part of a productive discussion, then leave you email address here and I can post a link to the message board later.

Thanks, and listen I have been saying it for year. Get involved or get tube, the choose is yours. I have my plans in action as we speak.
