wind mit question

Just did a wind mit on a home with a 2006 roof permit but it was a shingle over shingle ---- is this an A or a B ?

My initial opinion is that it does not meet A. due to ASTM D 3161 and FBC 100-95 and TAS 107-95

thanks in advance

Well if it passed the final on a residential re-roof I would say it meets the requirements for a.

Others may say differently.

If permitted and passed inspection it does meet.

I have been told by my ole WEC as long as the reroof was properly permitted it was A…been doing that for a while, no problems (YET!)

Mark this day down…

We finally agreed on something

Yes this is a properly permitted roof that passed inspection by the county building official. Thank you all.

I am really happy that I got John and the Meeker to agree on something …its a great day

Kooooooomm By ya

or however that goes

Fortunately or unfortunately we do usually agree, accept we have a much different approach.
