Research & Writing Assignment:

Client complained of water entry under the window, which was not present at the time of the inspection. After checking pictures and doing a reinspect, it came to everyone's attention that shrubbery had been removed from in front of the window allowing the sprinklers to spray the windows. We offered to pay for part of the repairs. The client walked away satisfied and left positive reviews.

Inspection & Writing Assignment:

This essay is a on the attached photo of an aerial view of the roof at 902 Pheasants Circle. We provided an extra service to this client by using a drone to take photos to help inspect the roof of this house. This was not on the original agreement, but was very much appreciated by the client. This type of additional service helped with our customer relationship with this client.

Research & Writing Assignment:

This essay is on the "Custom Home Maintenance Book for Nashville Property Consultants"

The "Custom Home Maintenance Book for Nashville Property Consultants" would be a good leave behind book to new homeowners. This book will help the Nashville new home buyer through the systems of a typical house, on how they work and how to maintain their home. And, the new homeowner will learn what to monitor and what to look for as the house ages.

Research & Writing Assignment:

After reading the article entitled "The Limitations of a Home Inspection" I learned that it is important to effectively communicate with your client what to expect from a home inspection. Sharing with them the standards of practice and keeping the lines of communication open will help. Conveying realistic expectations to a client will help manage their overall experience and help avoid misunderstandings later.

Research & Writing Assignment:

This research and writing essay assignment is very similar to what a home inspector does during a home inspection--performing an inspection, researching, studying, making observations, evaluating, writing notes, formulating opinions, and communicating observations in written form.

Once you submit your essay, it will be posted to the InterNACHI Inspection Forum. If the essay does not meet the criteria, you'll be notified by email to rewrite the essay.

Research & Writing Assignment:

Part of becoming a successful home inspection representative is being professional . Being professional begins with your attire, and how you greet your clients. You can say many things, without speaking through your non verbal communication. In many cases, a client will make a determination about you before speaking to you.

Research & Writing Assignment:

Upon reading the article "Marketing Tip for Inspectors: Meeting Your Client for the First Time" I have realized how important it is to have a good first impression. The most valuable lesson that I have taken away from this article is how important a persons body language can be. Another important topic covered is how personal appearance can hinder a first impression.

Inspection & Writing Assignment:

Signs of lost seals in the thermal pane windows may appear and disappear as temperature and humidity changes. Some windows with lost seals may not be evident at the time of this inspection. Windows are checked in a non-exhaustive manner for obvious fogging. When lost window seals are noted herein; it is recommended that all windows be re-checked by a window specialist prior to the expiration of any time limitations such as warranty and/or option periods

Research & Writing Assignment:

Bringing customers back is all about providing good customer service and sending them away happy enough to pass on positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers.

Inspection & Writing Assignment:

This is a photo of my work vehicle. It obviously is very dirty and I should not arrive to an inspection with it in this condition. It is important to leave home early and wash my vehicle before an inspection, as it looks much more professional.

Research & Writing Assignment:

I read the article entitled Buying a Foreclosure. There are 4 ways to buy a foreclosed home. You can buy a presale, which is when the buyer negotiates with the current owner before the house is foreclosed upon. The house may also be sold at public auction. Buyers can expect a discount of 10-25% of market value. The house may also be a real estate-owned sale, which is a purchase directly from the bank. Lastly, the Department of Housing and Urban Development have homes whose owners defaulted on loans and these homes are now for sale.

Inspection & Writing Assignment:

This is typically the condition of my truck after only a short drive in Edmonton's winter weather season. It will take a continual and focused effort to maintain my business vehicle in as clean a condition as possible. Wherever possible, and inspector should show up to inspections with a vehicle that is clean. A clean vehicle conveys a message of professionalism and attention to detail. Having a clean vehicle is also important if you have vehicle advertising. The more visible your logo and information the better.
